I meet many successful individuals, and their businesses, who don’t profess to be profound intellects but they do possess high levels of resolve. That set of skills and behavioural traits that triggers growth, compounding annually and builds greater momentum.

I meet a large swathe of President and CEO types, who to use the French term are intellect inégalé in their sectors, yet they and their businesses don’t grow at anywhere near the same pace, the very same issues persist forever, and as do the unfulfilled aspirations.

Why is that? There is 10 traits, here is three of them I see most often:

• Grasp why they are successful and turn it into easily replicated action.
• Either finish or terminate “frozen” initiatives or deals with confidence.
• Implicitly trust their own judgement and are comfortable with mid-course changes of direction.
