I meet a lot of people, who tell me what they ideally want to do (business, career, life changes), I meet very few that really want it enough such that they are willing to accept the realistic compromises (time, money, energy, status, gratification). Courage trumps aspiration every time.

So a Dutch astrophysicist, Prof Heino Falcke, has the courage of his talent to spend 26 years carefully positioning 8 telescopes globally, attract £40 million of investment and finally, capture the first picture of a black hole 500 million trillion miles ways. Yet a great many entrepreneurs, executives and investors lack the courage to take minor risks (new products, new markets, new customers and new technology) that would transform the future of their businesses and their own wealth. Please explain?
